The restoration respected the identity of the historic building while equipping it with features suited to a contemporary cultural venue. Carinbisa wooden windows were key to balancing memory with public use.
The project chose the DJ68 Series by Carinbisa, made from stained iroko wood—bringing warmth, durability, and a refined finish that naturally complements the stonework and original layout of the palace.
More than meeting requirements, the windows enhance the character of the building and ensure comfort with a discreet, elegant presence.
Choosing wood in Granada is not just an aesthetic decision: it’s a sustainable choice that favors thermal and acoustic comfort in a center hosting exhibitions, activities, and civic events. Crafted with artisanal precision and up-to-date technical criteria, the joinery ensures performance and longevity.
Wooden windows act as a thermal barrier and a design element. In a living building open to the city, they deliver genuine comfort, efficiency, and material continuity with the site’s history.
The intervention was made possible through collaboration between Carinbisa and Maderas Bullejos, combining experience, knowledge, and a passion for high-quality joinery—an example of tradition renewed without losing authenticity.
This project strengthens Carinbisa’s presence in Andalusia, supporting architects, developers, and public administrations in rehabilitating buildings that inspire. At the Palace of the Counts of Gabia, the windows are not a mere detail: they are part of the history opening to the present.
