Timber Windows in Santillana del Mar for New Build and Renovation

Timber Windows in Santillana del Mar for New Build and Renovation

This project in Santillana del Mar shows how wooden windows can provide a balanced solution for an installation where renovation and new construction come together. In such a magical setting, wooden windows become a link between tradition and renewal, perfectly suited to such a unique location.

As in every project in which Carinbisa takes part, we believe that exterior joinery cannot be understood as a simple enclosure: it must respect the character of the building, engage with the original materials and provide modern standards of comfort, efficiency and durability.

In the beautiful setting where this project is located, the choice of chestnut wooden windows helps maintain a coherent relationship with the stone, brick, arches and exposed structures that define the building.

In this project, we participated with our V92 Series and Vision Series wooden windows, made from chestnut wood and adapted to the needs of the renovation. The work was carried out thanks to our distributor MADERA I+, a Cantabrian company specialising in joinery solutions, and by Constructora SIEC, a company with extensive experience in construction, renovation and refurbishment projects in the area.

Wooden windows in new construction and renovation

When a project combines new areas with renovated sections, the window plays a key role. In new construction areas, it must support a more efficient, bright and functional architecture. In restored areas, it must integrate into existing openings, arches, wall depths and proportions defined by the original building.

The project images clearly reflect this duality. Stone and brick provide historical weight; large glazed openings bring in natural light; and chestnut wood acts as a connecting element between both architectural languages.

In this type of project, our wooden windows aim to improve the building without breaking its identity. At Carinbisa, we believe joinery should add comfort, while also respecting the material memory of the whole ensemble.

Made-to-measure wooden windows for projects with identity

This project demonstrates the value of working with made-to-measure wooden windows in buildings where tradition, design and technical requirements coexist. The V92 Series provides a solid response for complex openings, while the Vision Series offers a more refined appearance without losing the warmth of chestnut wood.

We would like to thank MADERA I+ for trusting Carinbisa for this project, as well as Constructora SIEC for its involvement in an intervention where technical precision and sensitivity towards the building were essential.

When new construction and renovation form part of the same architecture, Carinbisa wooden windows offer a natural, efficient and durable solution. A way to respect the building’s past, improve its present and add long-term value.
